A greve persistente do Sindicato do Pessoal Acadêmico das Universidades (ASUU), que colocou todas as universidades na Nigéria a sete chaves, faz parte dos pedidos de oração do Arole Oduduwa e Ooni de Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, quando ele começou no domingo o rito anual de reclusão de 7 dias faz parte das atividades simbólicas que marcam o Festival anual de Olojo em Ile-Ife. É evitável e deve ser encerrado pelo governo e ASUU em benefício dos jovens. A eleição do próximo ano é igualmente outro forte pedido de oração com o qual estou entrando em reclusão, quero que os jovens nigerianos se recusem a ser usados como bandidos durante a eleição enquanto rezo para que o processo seja perfeitamente aceitável para todos os partidos políticos e nosso povo. Pela paz e prosperidade de nossa terra.” Ooni Ogunwusi disse; Explicando a potência do exercício de reclusão, o Ooni que ficará incomunicável uma semana e não concederá audiência nos dias de reclusão disse: “Nunca houve tempo em que meus pedidos de oração durante a reclusão não fossem atendidos pelo Todo-Poderoso, isso nunca aconteceu. É um período de jejum e oração para apaziguar a Deus e buscar bênçãos para nossa terra.”
